Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Framework

Challenge: Oracle Health (formerly, Cerner), a provider of digital health information systems, wanted to continue consolidating the power of its platform by embedding recommendations, such as CDS Hooks (https://cds-hooks.org/) so that professional care providers could receive, and manage clinical recommendations integrated in the healthcare workflows.

Solution: The Next Matters team collaborated on the Oracle Health project during the entire software development cycle (design, development, testing, documentation, and support) of a framework able to receive CDS Hooks-type recommendations.

Outcome: This new framework enables professionals who use Oracle Health EHR i.s.h.med to receive, and manage clinical recommendations embedded in healthcare workflows, so that they can count on the support of the latest clinical evidence provided through these suggestions.
